Wow! We make predictions all of the time! Many of you mentioned predicting while you play sports, while you watch movies, and other daily activities.
Think of one of those times when you made a prediction, and then you had to change it. Explain how and why you changed your prediction. For example, maybe you changed your prediction about a movie because of something unexpected that a character did.
Our first thinking strategy this year is Predicting. Predicting is when you make an educated guess on what will happen next. We talk mostly about predicting during reading, but what other times do you predict? Remember, this is a THINKING strategy, not just a reading strategy!
